A Talk With God

• You : Our Father in heaven...
• God : Yes ? I'm here...
• You : Please, don't interrupt me, I'm praying !
• God : But you called my name !
• You : Did I ? I didn't called anyone. I'm praying... Our Father in heaven...
• God : See ? You did it again !
• You : Did what ?
• God : You called my name ! You said : Our Father in heaven. I'm here. How can I help you ?
• You : But I didn't mean it. It is my prayer. I pray the Lord's Prayer every day, I am praying so well. It is like a duty.
• God : But, how can you say "Our Father'', without remembering that all are your brothers, how can you say "in heaven'', if you don't know that heaven is peace, that heaven is love for everybody.
• You : Yeah, I haven't thought about that.
• God : But you may continue your prayer
• You : Hallowed be Your name...
• God : Wait ! What do you mean with that ?
• You : I mean... I wanna mean, is... I don't know what it means ! How can I know ? Is a part of the prayer, just it !
• God : Hallowed means worthy of respect, Holy, Sacred.
• You : Now I understand ! But I never thought about the mean of this word hallowed. 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven...'
• God : Seriously ?
• You : Yes ! Why not ?
• God : And what are you doing to make this happen ?
• You : What I do ? Nothing ! It's part of the prayer, besides I'd like if You had control of everything that happens on heaven and earth.
• God : Do I've control over you ?
• You : Well, I go to the church...
• God : I didn't ask it ! How about the way you treat your brothers, the way you spend your money, the time you give to television, and the little time you give to me ?
• You : Please ! Stop criticizing me !
• God : Sorry. I thought you were asking me for my will to be done. If this is gonna happen, has to be with those who prays, but that accepts my will, the cold, the sun, the rain, the nature, the community.
• You : Ok, You're right. If think I never accept Your will, because I complain about everything : if you send rain, I ask for sun, if you send the sun, I complain about the heat, if you send cold, I continue to complain, if I'm sick, I ask for health, but I don't take care of it...
• God : Good, recognize all these things. Lets work together You and I, but look, we are gonna win and lose. I'm liking this your new attitude.
• You : Look Lord, I need to finish it now. This prayer is longer that it used to be. I'll continue : 'Give us today our daily bread...'
• God : Stop there! You ask for bread stuff? Not by bread alone does man live, but also my word. When I ask for bread, remember those who do not know bread. You can ask me whatever you want, since I see as a loving Father! I am interested in the next part of this prayer. Continue!
• You : 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors...'
• God : And your brother with contempt ?
• You : See it ? Look Lord, he already criticized me so many times, and it wasn't true what he said. Now I can't forgive him. I need revenge.
• God : But, and your prayer ? What means your prayer ? You called me, I'm here, I want you to be transformed, I like you being honest. But isn't good to carry the weight of anger inside you, right?
• You : I think I'd feel better If I revenge.
• God : No, you wouldn't ! You're gonna feel worse. Revenge isn't sweet as it seems. Think about the sadness it would cause me, think about your sadness now. I can change everything for you.
• You : Can you ? But how ?
• God : Forgive your brother, I'll forgive you and I'll give you rest.
• You : But Lord, I can't forgive him !
• God : So, don't ask for my forgiveness too.
• You : Once again You're right. But I just wanna revenge, I want peace with You. Ok, ok I forgive all of them, but help me Lord. Show me the right way for me and my enemies
• God : What you are asking for its so wonderful, I'm so happy with you. And you, how are you feeling ?
• You : Good, very good ! To say the truth, is the first time I feel like this. It's so good to talk with God.
• God : We didn't finish the prayer yet. Continue...
• You : 'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one...'
• God : Fine, I'll do just that, but don't put in situations where you can be tempted.
• You : What do You mean with that ?
• God : Don't walk with people who take part in the dirty things, gossip. Abandon evil, the hate. All this take you to the wrong way. Don't use all this as an emergency exit !
• You : I can't understand !
• God : Of course you can. You already did this to me so many times. You make a mistake, and after you run after me asking my help.
• You : I'm ashamed, forgive me Lord !
• God : Of course I forgive you ! I always forgive who forgives too. But don't forget, when you call me, remember of our conversation, think about every word you say ! Finish your prayer.
• You : Finish ? Oh, yes... 'Amen !'
• God : What means amen ?
• You : I don't know. Is the finish of the prayer.
• God : You may only say amen when you accept saying everything I want, when you agree with my will, when you follow my laws, because 'amen' means 'so be it', I agree with all I prayed.
• You : Lord, thank You for teaching this prayer and thank You for making me understand.
• God : I love all my children, and I love more those who want to be free of all sins. I bless you, and stay with my peace.
• You : Thank you Lord. I'm very happy to know that You are my friend.
